Jack’s Place provides safe, convenient, and comfortable day or overnight accommodations for you, your caregivers, and family members while you receive treatment at the Shaw Cancer Care Center. Named after Dr. Jack Eck, a longtime and beloved Vail-area doctor, Jack's Place provides a wonderful haven of tranquility and well-being for the patients of the Shaw Regional Cancer Care Center.
Our 10,825 square-foot building, located immediately adjacent to the Shaw Cancer Center, has private rooms, suites, and common areas. All nestled in a comfortable, illness-sensitive surrounding. Jack’s Place can accommodate up to 12 cancer patients at one time. In addition, the dramatic views of the spectacular Lake Creek valley, and towering peaks of the New York mountain range, add to the serenity of our healing environment.
Jack’s Place is made possible through the efforts of the Shaw Outreach Team, an organization of local citizens who have embarked on $4.2 million campaign to construct, equip, and create a self-sustaining endowment for our wonderful caring house. This is yet one more way cancer patients can become a part of the healing family at the Shaw Center.
